Serving Seniors in Pasadena

The Senior Center in the City of Pasadena, California improves the lives of older adults through caring service with opportunities for social interaction, recreation, basic support and needs services, education, and volunteers. Twice a month, the Center serves low-income seniors through a food pantry program. Order of Malta Mobile supports the pantry program by delivering fresh produce sourced through the local nonprofit Food Forward.  LA Region members recently delivered almost 3,000 pounds of fresh fruits and vegetables for needy seniors. Student volunteers from the USC Occupational Therapy program helped unload and distribute the fresh produce to Senior Center guests. The Order is grateful to support the Senior Center in serving needy seniors in our community.
