A Catholic lay religious Order, the Order of Malta is one of the oldest continually existing organizations of Western civilization. Founded in Jerusalem in the second half of the 11th century, the Order of Malta has a long history of service to the vulnerable and the sick. Today, the Order of Malta is active in 120 countries caring for people through its medical, social and humanitarian works.

The Order of Malta Mobile Ministries is a 501(c)3 organization. You can designate your gift to OMMM or to the location of your choice and we will see that the funds go to the van serving that community.
The Order of Malta Mobile Ministries is a separate 501(c)3 organization operating in various cities across the United States. The organization is run by volunteer members – Knights, Dames, and Auxiliary — who belong to the Order of Malta associations in the U.S. The U.S. associations are part of the Sovereign Military Hospitaller Order of St. John the Baptist of Jerusalem, of Rhodes, and of Malta, now headquartered in Rome, Italy.
The Order of Malta Mobile Ministries (OMMM), with its vans, serve the sick and the needy in cities across the U.S. Activities range from food delivery, hygiene kit deliver, flu vaccinations, support for various archdioceses and their programming, support of homeless veterans, delivery of jackets and backpacks to the homeless and needy kids, delivery of Christmas gifts to farmworkers and children in tenement housing, transporting patients to a dental clinic, delivery of clothing and furniture to the poor, and many other activities supporting our partner charities and underserved populations.
The Order of Malta Mobile Ministries was established in 2019. On a rainy Thanksgiving Day in 2019, the first van was used to set up a vaccine clinic for the homeless in downtown Los Angeles. OMMM has now grown to vans operating in San Jose, San Francisco/Oakland, St. Louis, New Jersey, Phoenix, Detroit, Denver/Colorado Springs, and the latest in New York City.
