Serving the Garden State –
Newark, Paterson, Metuchen

The New Jersey Malta Mobile Ministries Project began in September 2022.  Mobile ministries projects are underway in the Paterson, Newark, and Metuchen Dioceses. In Paterson, the van transports food and clothing from the various parishes to the Diocesan food bank.  In Newark, food and provisions from the Community Food Bank of New Jersey are delivered to local food pantries, and in partnership with St. John’s Health Clinic, the van serves as mobile headquarters during vaccine drives. In Metuchen, the van delivers food donations from parishes to the Catholic Charities food bank in New Brunswick. On average, the Malta Mobile Ministries Project in New Jersey is committing 50 hours a month towards charitable works transporting thousands of pounds of food or dry goods per month.
