Santa’s Helpers Deliver 2,400 pounds of fruits and veggies

The Senior Center in the City of Pasadena improves the lives of older adults through caring service with opportunities for social interaction, recreation, basic support and needs services, education, and volunteerism (https://www.pasadenaseniorcenter.org/). Twice a month, the Center serves low-income seniors through a food pantry program. Order of Malta Mobile Ministries supports the pantry program by delivering fresh produce sourced through the local nonprofit Food Forward. LA Region members recently delivered over 2,400 pounds of fresh fruits and vegetables for needy seniors. Senior Center “Santa’s helpers” unloaded and distributed the fresh produce on the Friday before Christmas. The Order is grateful to support the Senior Center in serving needy seniors in our community.
