Oakland Region serving with Missionaries of Charity

Once again, the Order of Malta Oakland Region went out to serve Our Lord’s on the streets of Oakland alongside our beloved sisters, the Missionaries of Charity. It was a great success, led by our Charity Coordinator, Larry Silva, KM.

We distributed lunch, hygiene kits, and a special Christmas gift of 75 new, warm coats. These much-needed coats were generously provided by the Hospitallers of the Western Association—thank you, Mike’s. They were received with great joy and appreciation, especially timely given the recent cold weather.

Heartfelt thanks to the twelve Knights, Dames, Provisionals, Auxiliaries, and volunteers who made this outreach possible. Lastly, a special thank you to our holy priest, Fr. Ngema, who celebrated Mass for us and joyfully joined us on the streets in service.
