5,600 Pounds of Food Delivered to Dolores Mission

Order of Malta Mobile Ministries (https://maltamobileministries.org/) delivers fresh produce from Food Forward to Los Angeles’ neediest communities.  Food Forward fights hunger and prevents food waste by rescuing fresh surplus produce, connecting this abundance with people experiencing food insecurity.  LA Region Mobile Ministries volunteers recently delivered over 5,600 pounds of fruits and vegetables to the food pantry program run by Proyecto Pastoral at Dolores Mission, which provides training, education, and social services within the Boyle Heights district of East Los Angeles.  The Order is grateful to Food Forward and Proyecto Pastoral for helping us deliver hope to the poor and needy. LA Region volunteers
