Colorado Location Celebrates the First Saturday of 2024

On Saturday, January 6, a gathering of 17 Colorado members and volunteers attended
the First Saturday Celebration at St. Peter Catholic Church in Monument. Mike Faricy, KM, led the Rosary before Mass began, and Fr. Tom Pressley celebrated the Mass,
assisted by Dr. Ron Royce as the acolyte. Marice Erickson, DM, lectured and read the
reflection after Mass.

After the Mass and Meditation, all but three of the attendees drove to Springs Rescue
Mission in Colorado Springs. There, they distributed essential hygiene kits to support
the homeless individuals residing there and in the area.

The attendees comprised three Knights: Mike Faricy, Ken Hurley and Ron Royce; four
Dames, Christina Brims, Marice Erickson, Kim Goodman, and Ginny Hurley; a
Provisional member: Brian Goodman; four Auxiliary members: Javier and Letitia
Cervantes, Betty Faricy and Melissa Smith, and our esteemed Chaplain, Fr. Tom
Pressley.  Ken Hurley also extended an invitation to a future Auxiliary member, along
with his wife and two of their sons, to participate in the Mass and to help distribute
hygiene kits at Springs Rescue Mission.
